Our Mission – We strengthen skills at family and community level, in sustainable practices that advance child development and learning, in 17 Swazi Communities.

Our motto – Do what you can, with what you have, now.

Where we work

Our area of operation arose from 1991/92 food distribution activities in response to the regional drought. As follow on, the 17 communities that made up “Zone 1” formed Vusumnotfo as a strategy to address the underlying issue of dependency in ways relevant to their communities.

Geographically these 17 communities make up the northern most section of Eswatini.  The population is around 47,463 people related to 5,932 homesteads (based on the average extended family unit), equal to 5% of national population; 30 x 40 Km, equal to 7% of land area; 17 Chiefdoms, equal 5% of the Chiefdoms; and 4 Tinkhundla, equals to 7% of the 55 national constituents.

The area is rural made up of scattered homesteads grouped into chiefdoms, on Swazi nation land.  The main livelihood is subsistence farming on small plots of non-titled land.
